We have a BIG announcement...

We are happy to announce that the taco & swaddle are both weaned and Eleanor is sleeping in her crib! Yay! It feels very freeing and Eleanor even took 2 naps at Grammie's house this week! Eleanor is doing such a great job and adapting to her new sleeping arrangements. Now if she could just sleep through the night!! Oh, a Mom can dream...

Since my parents are traveling over the next few weeks, we celebrated Easter last weekend with the whole family. Eleanor really enjoyed time with her two favorite Aunts :)

Oh, what tangled webs we weave...

As soon as we returned from Maui, we started weaning the taco and swaddle, two of Eleanor's sleep crutches. The taco has been amazing and has WELL served it's purpose, while the swaddle is just plain ridiculous for an 8 month old! Yes, we still swaddle our baby! She really won't stay sleeping unless she is swaddled or curled up between Mom & Dad. The taco is like a hammock for babies so we have weaned it in stages. I have disassembled it piece by piece and Eleanor is almost sleeping on just a crib mattress! Imagine that?! I highly recommend the taco for brand new babies, but please be warned...it is addicting!! The swaddle is a whole other story...it may take years :)

Eleanor has been busy crawling EVERYWHERE and pulling herself up on EVERYTHING! She has no fear and is quite the little dare devil! She even put her new skills to test in a gymnastics class for crawlers and early walkers. My Mom and I both agreed that she was already the best in the class! Haha. Eight months is such a fun age and we LOVE every minute...swaddle or no swaddle :)

Maui was great!

We had an AMAZING time in Maui and wish we were still there! It was so relaxing and great to simply DO NOTHING!! We stayed in Kaanapali on the west side of the island at my parents time share. It was ocean front and such a treat to wake up every morning to the sound of waves crashing on the beach! We were spoiled!!

Eleanor LOVED Maui also! She went in the pool almost every day and enjoyed visiting with her grandparents and Aunt and Uncle. After all, she is "Miss Social" and was exhausted by the end of each day! Michael and I even went on a double date with Chad and Alexa while Grammie and Grandad babysat!

We look forward to returning to Maui next May after Michael's Law School graduation. Eleanor will be 1 1/2 and ready to take on the ocean by then!
